On March 10, 1986, Terri Brown began her career at Rock Region METRO, then known as Central Arkansas Transit (CAT). Terri was studying to become a dental hygienist when the opportunity to work at CAT became available. She chose to finish her studies, but took a position with CAT. In an interview with Ms. Brown, she mentioned that she wanted to complete her certification in case the information specialist job did not work out, and then she would pursue finding work with a dentist office. Forty years later, things are still working out for Terri, and she is excited to celebrate this milestone at METRO.
She knew after her first day she was not going to work for a dentist’s office. She is completely dedicated to METRO and absolutely loves the work that she does. The best part of Terri’s job is helping people and being able to help them have a good day.
“Rock Region METRO is more than just a bus company – it’s service that keeps the community moving,” Terri said. Dependable is how she describes METRO.
During Women’s History Month, we congratulate Terri on serving the public for 40 years! We appreciate your commitment and service to Rock Region METRO.
