METRO’s first Links paratransit ride-booking app, called METRO Links, launches Monday, Feb. 16. The mobile app allows Links paratransit riders to schedule and cancel rides directly from their smartphone without needing to call in. In addition to booking features, the app can also show riders where their ride is in real-time and provide update notifications for scheduled trips. Trip requests can be submitted any time through the app, though rides must still be scheduled at least one day in advance. The free METRO Links app is available to download now in the Apple App Store and Google Play, but riders may not begin scheduling rides in the app until Monday, Feb. 16. Once the app is launched, eligible riders will need to call the METRO Links paratransit team and will be asked to provide their email address to begin the account setup process.
