Midtown Transfer Hub Shelters Under Construction Starting Monday, Jan. 27

The Midtown Transfer Hub shelters at the top-of-the-hill stops, which are Stop 10150 Stop 1 (the stop closest to the back side of the Cheddars Restaurant, on the north side of Midtown Avenue), which serves Routes 3 Baptist Medical Center Outbound, Route 5 West Markham Outbound, 8 Rodney Parham Outbound, 8 Rodney Parham Inbound, 22 University Ave./Mabelvale Northbound and 22 University Ave./Mabelvale Southbound, as well as Stop 10192 Stop 2 (the stop closest to the Doctors Building, on the south side of Midtown Avenue), which serves Routes 3 Baptist Medical Center Inbound and Route 5 West Markham Inbound, will be closed for construction starting Monday, Jan. 27. Construction will begin to remove the existing shelters and replace them with larger “super-shelter” structures that offer riders digital wayside signage, more seating and roofing coverage, and enhanced lighting.
