The new METRO Connect – Rock Region microtransit software system, powered by Via, launched Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023. This means the former Transloc system and related app is no longer operational for METRO Connect microtransit trips. As announced prior to the launch, the Via system doesn’t allow advanced bookings and will not allow riders to book trips when they have not yet completed an active trip. For more METRO Connect information, click the main METRO Connect webpage under the Services tab. For more information on zone geography changes with this software launch, visit the Annual Service Enhancements page under Rider Info. Please be advised: The new METRO Connect – Rock Region app is available for download in the Apple App Store or Google Play store. Riders: There was an initial technical problem with the app’s text messaging system, but this was fixed in the second week of service.
