Rock Region METRO works with a variety of local, regional and national vendors for professional services and goods. Our procurement department is responsible for purchasing all goods and services required by METRO.

Rock Region METRO Procurement Goals

The procurement department ensures METRO is meeting the following contracting goals to:

  • Provide for public confidence in the procurement procedures followed by METRO
  • Ensure fair and equitable treatment of all persons who deal with METRO’s procurement process
  • Provide increased savings in the agency’s procurement activities and maximize, to the fullest extent practicable, the purchasing power of the public funds used by METRO
  • Foster effective, broad-based competition within the free enterprise system
  • Provide safeguards for the maintenance of a procurement system of quality and integrity
  • Provide for the timely resolution of protests and contract disputes

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise

Rock Region METRO has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26. METRO has received federal financial assistance from the Department of Transportation, and as a condition of receiving this assistance, METRO has signed an assurance that it will comply with 49 CFR Part 26.
